BlackJack Owners, Check In Please!

I accquired a BlackJack a few nights ago, and it gets terrible reception. Like in places my Treo 750, or v3xx would. I am at work right now, and in a small building, not like a factory or anything. I always got good reception with my 750, or v3xx. I have my v3xx with me right now, and if i put my sim card in it, I jump up to full service. Put it back in the BlackJack, and i get anywhere from none, to 1 bar. Mostly none. I read through some links on google that there is a ROM update from Samsung that messes them up. Also that there is supposedly a "push rest" that can be sent to it from att that will fix this. HAs anyone heard of such, or had this issue with their phone, and fixed it?

mine gets great reception. its just a slow piece of shit. very nice screen though.

There's your mistake, going from a Treo to a Blackjack is a downgrade.

Well, I sold my treo b/c i fell in love with my v3xx. Then the Blackjack was given to me. It's a good phone, but from my treo to the blackjack was like going from my v3xx to a nokia 3587 lowercase i. FTL.

i know on my mda there is a short on the antenna. all i did was add electrical tape to stop short. you check Howard?
