to each thier own I suppose, I don't think they look great at all. You can make anything fast really, as the old sayin goes, horsepower costs money, how fast you wanna go? but there's no replacement for displacement.....But ya, marketing, preying on people, but I won't get into all that. And no, no poor kid is going to have a civic that will blow my mind, see above saying. My Dad drives a 87 civic Si, ya it's economical and fun to drive, but we're going to have much more fun putting money into my 1966 Chevelle Malibu.

As for my Datsun, it's a rare car that I picked up as a great running commuter for $400 and haven't had to replace a single thing other than a regular maintenance and a brake drum, and passes smog with flying colors.
Some people like speed AND efficiency, hence the smaller engine, turbo'd four doors that get close to 30MPG.

I was gonna throw some paint on the stock wheels until I could get some new ones but looks like I might as well just save the time and money and just spring for new rims altogether especially at the prices I'm seeing.

lol @ the dude with a $400 car talkin sheit about other dudes cars.
If you could purchase such a good running reliable commuter car for that cheap, you wouldn't? And the girls car is a 2010 Accent paid for with cash cuz she thought it was cute. My other ride is a 66 Malibu. Sold my 5 series to my mom.

I could do that to my datsun i6 and paid way less, add new paint and viola, same as you but in a rare car instead of owning the same shite every other Douche has.

And a sbc will be much more reliable than an over turbo'd 4banger

Was just asking an honest question, no need to get so defensive.

No, I would not buy a $400 car. I could care less if it gets good mileage or not, that means nothing to me.

I refuse to pay any less than 20 stacks

I thought about that....but Idk if that'll blend in too much. I think the black kinda gives it a sportier look.no offense, but a tc isnt a sports car... my 2000 celica gt 5 speed walks on every TC ive raced.. and theres little to nothing done to it.

dont get me wrong, i love the looks, but ya know...

now if you were going to get a scion FR-s, then thats another story.

You don't even know what kind of vehicle I have, let alone its rarity or reliability; and I wasn't getting defensive. Some people don't have the money for multiple vehicles but are driving enthusiasts and have to do what's best for them. I personally wouldn't want a '66 Chevelle, but I wouldn't mind a '70s ***** Am. I don't have anything against V8s+, but I can't spend $50 every few days to satisfy my speed hunger. I'd rather do it in a smaller, more efficient vehicle.
