BL, Qts, Qs, etc

This may sound stupid, but im not to well educated yet on the specs of subwoofers, what makes them perform how they do, and it seems after reading many posts that the BL level determines the subs ability to kick *** lol..

What does BL stand for, and QTS and blah blah?

Educate me if you will

Very good question.

BL- motor strength

Qms- level of control related to the suspension

Qes- Level of control related to magnet/voice coil

Qts- total Q of the sub...lower the q, the spaller the box it requires.

I tried to list a majority of the T/S param's (even a few DUMAX ones) and their meanings. Should be a decent resource.......

I'm not like the good majority who swear by this, but I think giving the loudspeaker design cookbook by vance dickason a reading through would give you a good understanding of T/S parameters, among others.
