Ok folks,

Right now I've got a Kicker S8L5 D4 in a 0.35cf sealex box (was) run off of 2 bridged channels of a Xenon X100.4 amp. I sold the amp back to the friend that sold it to me (I got back what I paid for it, so I couldn't complain), and got an Infinity 7541a amp off ebay. Now here's my debate: The Infinity amp puts out roughly 240w RMS bridged at 4 Ohms. Well, that won't work for my Kicker S8L5 D4.

Budget is $100, the less the better. I listen to mostly hard rock and metal, but on occassion some rap and techno. Must be able to perform well in a smallish (0.3 - 0.6 cf) sealed box.

So which of the following do you recommend?

1. Kicker S8L5 D2

2. Kicker CVR8 D2

3. AA Assassin 8

4. Polk Momo MM2084

5. Other - Please Specify

This is a big debate to me. I'm simply looking for advice from those with experience or impressions on the listed subs with a similar environment to what I will be running.

Nice looking little sub. Lists 150W RMS for it. Is that accurrate or can more be applied? IOW, is feeding it 240W RMS daily going to cause issues?

RMS Power @ 4 Ohms: 111W x 4 @ 14.4v Thats the power output of the Infinity amp. The KICKER 06 S8L5-4 takes 300rms So I dont see the problem here.

The amp is rated for 2x278W RMS at 14.4V bridged. I'll be running my front comps off channels 1 and 2 stereo, and a single sub off channels 3 and 4 bridged.

U can always just set ur gains.

Yes, I know. What I want to know is if that TB sub can take ~240W RMS daily without a problem.

probably not that is around 70% more power then it is made to handle...maybe if you had your gain turned down...even then

Thanks for the comments, but I don't think I'm going to consider the TB anymore if there's any doubt about it being able to handle what I want to throw at it.
