this is not post dumping because you are attempting to sell stolen government property.

real deal big 55mph sign, heavy and in good shape. someone i know moved next to a highway and the speed limit changed to 45 and this was laying in their backyard. pics and measurements coming in ~10 mins i gotta go get batts for the camera real quick. i looked around on ebay and didnt see anything near this size and what i did see was running 20-30 so i'm asking 40.00 + shipping

i know it is illegal.

cause once i found a sign that was knocked over in front of my house and i was starting to take the bolts off and a cop pulled up and asked what are you doing

i said taking the sign

he goes you know thats illegal

and i said just wondering why is it illegal

he says because it is a dot issued piece of material and dot is part of the govt.

so im like o ok.

he said ill call dot and tell them to come pick it up or fix it

i was like ok.

he goes take it easy

i was like you too.

this was when i was 12.

not all cops are assholes but it is illegal.

thing is that DOT picks up these old ones, applies a new sticker with a new speed limit, and puts it back.

so if the OP thinks it is no longer able to be used, he is an idiot
