You wouldn't gain any power over your current amp, so why switch?Does anyone know of a good SQ amp that can put out 150-200 RMS X 4?
You are not going to hear a difference between S/N ratio of, say, 80 and one of 100.Something with over 100 S/N ratio
Your amplifier does not have a THD higher than 1% @ rated power, so there's no point in switching amplifiers due to THD as you will not hear any improvement., and low THD?
Another over rated spec. You are not going to hear a difference between an amplifier with a DF of 50 and one with a DF of 500.Damping factor > 500?
100% Marketing.because having bought a few Critical Mass speakers, I notice that the amps they sell (all of which are several thousand dollars) are really low THD, 100+ S/N ratio, and high damping factor.
pretty much //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gifSo I went around looking at most amps, and every single one I looked up (including most budget amps) have a S/N ratio of over 90, and a THD of 1% or less.
Does that mean you can pretty much go cheap on the amp, as long as it has the power you need, and still not lose any SQ?
So basically the only things that you would want to fork over good cash for SQ wise would be the speakers/subs?
