I don't think anybody here is trying to convince anyone else that they have obtained supreme knowledge of physics and speaker design. I know I'm not atleast. I just believe that, from everything I have read anyways, that the size or mass of a given subwoofer's cone doesn't have the effect on transient response that some believe. Heck, enclosure design will have a much greater impact overall. Now I would love to wait untill a loudspeaker engineer chimes in and sets me straight and disproves all that I have read. Untill then, I would love to know makes you so sure that it does.
