[QUOTE="gregj9, post: 14240, member: 540983"] I can't believe you alpine guys yes they have some nice features our store sold both alpine and eclipse, but I gotta say for sheer bullet proof performance can't beat an eclipse. Yes the AI net systems are nice but can't touch the Eclipse DDL GFO (direct digital link glass fiber optics) systems of past eclipse (now not available due to cost to consumer) Eclipse was way ahead of their time when they introduced the system in the late 80's early 90's Features like time alignment, the ability to set delay times IN YOUR CAR then was unheard of but the eclipse did it. Sure Alpine has the bells and whistles but side by side pure sound quality, the Eclipse well ..........Eclipses alpine. Need I go on okay low line level impedence around 50 ohm in most cases better in others, higher preamp voltage, both needed in getting a strong clear signal to the amp for optimum sound quality . All brass moving parts for strength, in cd section. One of the best damping systems (without having a buffer) on the market today.............and should I go there I think I have to any company that sells out and lets citcut city carry their product can't be lookin to hit the cream of the crop market. Besides look at MOST of the folks that install for circut city, if it weren't for their computer they couldn't install or troubleshoot anything.........They can't even install a system that is worthy of sound quality competition on the amature level and even pro........they just don't have the caliber of equipment......so when I say ECLIPSE you better freakin' believe it is the best !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
