Best amp to power 3 kicker CVR10's

usually with 3 subs i try to stick with dual 2 ohm subs and run it at 1.34

but if its a regulated power supply, you might as well go dvc4 if you are ensure the same power. Its a bit easier on the amp running 2.67 rather than 1.34. Or does it not make a differnce on a regulated amp?

yea but their are a lot more cheaper solutions at 1.34 cause then you can say buy a mbquart 2000.1 which would be perfect 4 them as you cant run 1 ohm amp

I would probably go with the PG too. the only thing is it is used and you don't know how it was used.

can someone tell me a little bit about pheonix gold amps??? ive never heard of them?? how can they produce the same power no matter how many ohms your running to them??? should i worry about the one on ebay being used too hard or are they a good quality amp?? how much should i expect to pay for one thats 1200 watts rms??? and what is a good deal as far as price goes??? thanks for your help!!

I had a PG amp an it was really nice and have heard good things from other people. It has a regulated power supply and most amps don't and that allows it to have the same output at any ohm. Some JL amps are like that too.

phoenix gold in the 90's were prob one of the most highly looked at companies in that era, their shit was exspensive though, the engineers left and created exile audio so there stuff has gone down a little but is still a very good brand, there subs are some of the best bang for buck out their imho

their owned by the same company as stinger now, the ti series are there best amps and weigh a ton, a tank

why can't i find that same pheonix gold amp anywhere else except for that listing on ebay? All the other PG amps i see dont have the regulated power supplys. Are there any other amp companies that make the same sort of amp with the regulated power supply?

its an older amp from from before stinger bought them out, it was their top line amp and it was very exspensive. 1100 dollar msrp 10 dollars a watt almost, so you wont find many around.

So im trying to decide between the phoenix gold amp 1200.1 xenon amp which puts out the same power at any ohms or the kicker 1500.1 They are both right around the same price, just dont know if im comfortable with the phoenix gold amp because theres not many around and the one that i can find is used. hmmmm. decisions decisions.....

Also, since this shits gonna be in a boat, i like to hang out without my engine running for a few hours and jam to my music. Will the kicker 1500.1 or the phoenix gold amp drain my batteries hard? I have 2 deep cycle batteries in the boat. Or should i look into getting something with a lower power like a kicker zx1000.1 Sorry about all the questions i just dont wanna have a bomb *** system for 30 mins and then need to find someone to give me a jump to get shit going again.
