Best Amp For L7's

I Have Two Twelve Inch L7's. 4 Ohm Dual Voice Coil. I Have Had A Mtx Thunder 8100d In It But The Amp Is Running Too Hot And Kept Acting Up So I Took It Out. Im Tryen To Find Out What Kind Of Amp Would Get Me The Best Quality But Still Hit Like It Should. They Are In A Single Ported Box As Well.

I forgot to mention, that the MTX 81000D isn't 1 ohm stable, so that could be your problem if you have your subs wired at 1 ohm.

had caps lock on. im looken to spend between 500 to 800. i was looken at the kicker zx1000 or the jl audio 1000.1 but just tryen to see if anyone has used anything else that might be cheaper that is good for these subs. and ya i got the amp out of a repo. it looked like it was hooked up by a twelve year old when i pulled it out so it could have been the way they had it wired.

If that's your budget, you should go with the kicker 1500.1.

another 500 watts would be nice. 1500 rms for those. hifonics bxi2008 may be one of the cheaper options.

If you have Dual 4ohm voice coil then you would wire down to 1ohm. So you should get a 1ohm stable amp.
