i am ready to install this set already and when i spoke to a few different peeps they are telling me it would be better with a 6 channel amp or a 2 chan and a 4 chan for the set..... trouble is its hard to find a really good 6 channel on ebay

any help is apperciated thanks in advance

as far as budgest id like to spend 1200 or less....

if I remember right, that amp is also designed with an anti-clipping feature. Great for pounding the mids.

We were the only retailer of McIntosh (Traffic Jams Oklahoma City) in oklahoma back in 95-98. The amps haven't changed since then. Still built on the same line as their home equipment. Good find.

For a Dyn set, I would get the cleanest amp your wallet can afford. I am currently using a DLS A3 on my 2 way set, but want to upgrade to the new US Amps TU600. I would do like most have stated already, do a 4 ch on the midrange and tweeter, and a 2 channel on the midbass driver. You can even set up the system on an active xover (using the amp's filters). The thing about Dyns is that they will take HUGE amounts of power, every speaker, right down to the tweeter. the md100 can easily take 150 watts without going into protect mode or get muggy at the higher volumes.

thanks for all the help

i was bidding on a ADS PH30 Powerplate 6 channel w/digital readout and the seller ended the auction to me early with out tellin me... its 6 times 100 rms you think thats good enough? or should i still go for a 4 and 2 channel... as far as going the two amp route how many watts would u recomend going with for the 4 channel and the 2 channel??/

thanks in advance

I run my set passive off of one of My ARC's (2500CXL). I have one for sale as a matter of fact.

It puts out more than enough power to push all of the components of the set very well. Active would be nicer, just be cause of the control of an active crossover. But those passives that Dyn includes in the set still sound very nice.
