Best Amp For 3 12's? Help!

Hey Everyone,

I recently got 3 KickerCVR's 12's and now i need an amp. I had a Boss HC4000 hooked up to them for awhile and for some reason in went into protect mode (anyone know how to fix it) .

I've got the dual 2-ohm voice coils. I thank the dual 2 Ohm will give you a 1 Ohm or a 4 Ohm load depending on if the coils are wired in parallel or in series.

u can either wire em up to a 1.34 ohm load or a 3 ohm load. I say hook up a JBL 1200.1 and wire em up to a 1.34 ohm load and that willl give u 1200+ watts to the Comps.

So get the JBL and wire em to 1 ohm. But how should i hook up the 12's to the amp. Bring all the wires into one and then bridge the amp or what? Ohh, anyone know how to fix the protection mode?

no need for bridging. its a 1 channel amp. u just use the left + and right - on the amp

OHHHHH.....i gotcha man, i'm a little slow

Now it's just the protection LED on my other amp. I need to figure out why it did it so it won't mess up the JBL either

the protect might have been because you wired it below the minimum resistance rating of the amp.

it should be ok, the JBL is rated to handle a 1ohm load, the BOSS probably wasnt.

Hum....i just look up my BOSS amp and it says its 1/2 Ohm Stable Stereo 2000 Watts x 2....that tell anything? As ya'll can see i don't really understand all the Ohm stuff yet
