i have heard 2 13w7 on 2 jl Audio 1000/1s and on a 2500d...

same box, but 2 diff. vehicles.. the output was about the same off of a termlab.

signle 13w7 not loud enough........ are you kidding. why dont you try putting in the jl recommended ported box before you go spend another grand on amps and subs. Plus is ur electrical system gonna like 2 amps that big? Port the ***** then if thats not loud enough then get anotehr sub.

It might not be loud enough for him, is what he s saying.. I would say match them with 1000/1 s or if you did nt wanna spend that kind of money, do the RF T2000, benches on that amp are over 2700-2800 rms, and plus added that they will be runing at 3/4 ohm would help you a little more

well i have a jl 1000 on the way so i'll see how that stacks up. i got the audio control epicenter on the way, for the extra bass that i'm hoping to get cause honestly, i know this may sound weird, but both professional installs, I had 2 RF punch HX2's in a sealed box before running off of like a RF 450watts power amp and it went quite a bit louder than the 13w7 off of a audison 2.400. i dunno if it's cause i don't have the gain all the way, it's only 8/10 or what the hell.... the 2 rf punch's also sounded better. i have the bass control vcrack on the audison too and it's cranked, and the gain is 8/10 and it's tuned well.

Dude, I heard 1 13w7 in a vented JL box with a JL1000 and in an extended cab truck you could hear it coming for at least 6 blocks. You could not be in the cab if it was cranked, it just flat out hurt. I'd go for the box, sounds like you have a shitty box or amp. Cause I had the same woofer/box combo in my truck on a 225watt profile and it still thumped preety **** good. But you sound like one rich *** little punk, so throw away money on another sub, I don't think it will help you as much as just putting that one in a quality box with a quality amp.

i had a focal utopia 38wx in a ported box and i liked it but i like the deeper bass of the 13. the sub is being powered off of a audison vrx 2.400 which is one of the highest quality 1000watt amps you can buy. it's in a JL prowedge sealed box so i don't think it's somethign wrong with the box. i had 2 12inch RF HX2's and they were louder. but i have a jl 1000 amp coming i will let you guys know the sound difference. i dont' think i will be able to tell much difference but we'll see. i didnt' notice that much of a difference between my mcintosh 431 amp and sinfoni 90.2x for my utopia fronts, but the sinfoni is definately better.

ive heard a few 13W7 with 1000 watts.......not enough power. unless you can build a big box.

Get four JL 1000/1 and mount each one to each voice coil.. That should be loud

well i'm gonna tyr to bank on a zapco c2k 9.0. hopefully that will be loud enough for 2 13's. dont' see myself getting much better.
