I would put atleast 2000 watts to it in 4-4.5 cubes tuned to the mid thirties

if you want it to take the power better I would go around a 3.5-3.75 cube box for daily....

a freind has the orginal HD3 with the DD tyoke/backplate.. it is still really similar to the alum coil/5 stiff spiders(think its 5 or 6) you got. its peaky sounds OK at best but its whales.. if your gonna slap a clean 3KW and i mean clean this is my recommendations.

Note i played with too many woofers to list including nearly every sub DD has made...

for optimal flat response after break in i would do 4.25 tuned to 32 with 55in^2 of port area. helps b ring out alot of lowend and smooth off the roll off under Fb and brings alot of the high frequency efficiency to the lower octaves... note you loose a ton of output vs the high output aligment but with 3k its stiff going to SLAM..

street beat 4.5 tuned to 38 with 65in^2 port area

all out slap ya momma defining output do 4.25 tuned to 38 with 85^2 of port area.. smaller box helps aid the high Q of the port while increse port area helps increase output throughout the bandwidth above f3.. normally the slightly smaller box with greater port area meters better as well... with this type of aligment its critical that you put hte woofer on one side of the cabin and port on hte oppsite... another common techinique is CRX style boxes sub up ports back works great as well..
