Bent Basket

I have 2 pairs of brand new Rockford Fosgate P1694C 6x9s that are going in my new car. I got the fronts installed today. While I was installing I noticed the passenger side was louder than the driver side so I investigated. Both subs read out perfectly fine on the DMM. I pushed on the cone and it scratches. Its due to a bent basket. Do you think I can just bend the basket back and it will be good?

try two birch baffles, cutout to clear the basket and surround. then sandwich the mids and clamp

I think I may have fixed it.

How will I know if I did fix it? It doesnt make the rubbing noise any more.
