Beginner CheckList?

Is there like a website or a tool to see what you need for beginners? I mean i don't even know what the little stuff i'll need to hook up my very first system.

All i know is you need:

AMP

SUB

DECK

SPEAKERS

wires (what size?)

what tools to install it (besides a screw driver lol)

Wire size depends on how many watts you will be running. So a power wire kit will do well. Then speaker wire and RCAs. A box for the sub.

you will also need a wiring harness to hook up a new deck to your stock wiring, so it must be vehicle/model specific to your vehicle. and you will probably need a dash install kit to make the new deck fit right. both are cheap though.

when buying an amp, look under the specs to see what gauge wire it recommends, then just buy an amp wiring kit of that gauge. then you will need more speaker wire for the speakers

Fuse holder under hood...Distro block if you are running multiple amps...sound dampner...connectors and crimp tool..

If you're getting 2 amps, one for sub and one for speakers, I recommend a dual amp wiring kit with distro blocks. They work very well.

I'm probably gonna go for 1 10" W6 and the 500/1 JL AMP. For the deck, probably the Kenwood DPX503
