**** i guess its time for me to quit drinkin and go into that AA rehab .. lmao .. but moonshrine ftw ..moonshine
Yes, but I think you are missing my point. There is an *expectation* that newcomers to the hobby will be drinking beer that tastes as good or better than what they buy off the shelf. This is not the case, and people get turned off of the hobby because of it.It does if you're good at it....check the ratebeer homebrew forum. Some amazing stuff comes out of there. Duck Rabbit's baltic porter, slightly out of the top 50 beers in the world on RB, was a recipe someone on the forums came up with that was put into production by the brewery after the head brewer tried it.

What's the incentive for the hobby then? Or are you saying it took you a number of years to realize this and drop the hobby? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Nothing like a friend that will lie to your face for your own good, huh? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gifI even had a few proud moments too when presenting samples to friends who seemed to like it.
