I wrote my rep last week, but he's a Republican, so I was preaching to the choir, really. Should be interesting to see what response I get from Sen. Nelson, because he's a Democrat. I know the responses are just copied-and-pasted by his staff, but I want to see the reasoning behind the cap & trade bill.

Basically it's a shit ton of taxes ($500b+ iirc) against energy companies for the sake of slowing global warming.
