Hi,

I have limited space in my car so i can only run two bass tubes (BT6024DVC

)

I also have a spare rockford fosgate P4004 at home, i was wondering if it was possible to run the two tubes off the P4004?

I can bridge the front and rear channels but in the manual it shows the when this is done the lowest impendence i can put on is 4Ohm, but when i wire the DVC tubes i will get a 2Ohm load of each ( http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/wiringwizard.asp?WoofQty=1+woofer&WoofImp=Dual+Voice+Coil+-+4+ohms+x+2 ), using wireing option #1 on this page.

Am i looking at this right? please help.

You're actually in luck with that combination of equipment. The drivers in those Bazooka tubes are only rated for 100w RMS total (50w per coil) according to the specs.

Your amp will make 200w @ 4 Ohms with two channels in a bridged configuration.

(which is perfect when you've got two drivers that need a combined total of 200w RMS, eh?)

Wire the four coils of the two tubes like so:

And connect them to a bridged output on your amp.

That will leave the other two channels open for amplifying a frontstage if need be //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Hope this helps at all!

Hey, Prowler thanks for the quick reply, yep from lil ol NZ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I think i read of the bazooka site each coil is rated at 75rms and the 'birth certificate' that rockford give out with there amps said it pushed about that so this is all gd news!

Especially now that you have freed up my front channels for me, thanks.

So the rear channel bridged will power my tubes ok? I think it will, just want to make sure before i go buying stuff i dont need. Thanks for the help.

I got my power ratings off of the product page for those tubes on Crutchfield.

If Bazooka's site tells a different story then I would go with the ratings provided by the folks that made the gear rather than someone who simply sells it. (Bazooka is manufactured here in my homestate of Louisiana //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif)

And it is fairly common for Fosgate amps to do more than rated output so yeah, I think the equipment you're looking at combining will make a good match. Having those front two channels opened up for other use can't be a bad thing either //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Never been to New Zealand myself but once I get moved to Australia (my wife lives in Adelaide) we've been seriously considering vacationing there after we watched the Billy Connoly (sp?) special where half of it was him touring your country on a motorcycle and the other half was his standup.

Looks to be a stunningly beautiful place //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif
