bass varies in volume

Im having a problem where ill have my stereo up and everything will sound like it should and then its almost like some1 is turning down my gain on my amp,the volume of the bass will just get lower,and then itll burst out the bass like it should be played,but then go back to the lower volume,sometimes in cuts out completely on the bass. Ive done searches but can't find any help.

voltage problems ?

my voltage stays constantly anywhere from 14.4-15 volts according to my cars volt reader and my amps volt reader

how high do you have your gains set?

what voltage are your preouts?

Bad ground? Check everything man, should be an easy fix.

the voltage is only a measly 2 volts and the gain is set a little lower than half

sounds like a loose connection in the speaker wires to your sub

figured out the problem,my rca wires come loose,the didnt fit right into my amp so i had to use a hammer to get them to wire they fit properly,now it sounds right and doesnt have varying volumes in bass

You shouldn't need a hammer to get your RCA's in......................

I think maybe he had to tap on the metal ring on the RCAs to make them fit right, other than that a hammer is kind of out of the question for making RCAs fit right.
