Bass to loud for my speakers what to do?

So I have 4 5x7 polk db570s (parents got them for my birthday and installed them) running only off of my deck. When i turn my bass up more than 0, the bass just overides the speakers. What is some of my options? Should i get a couple more speakers, get an amp, or get new speakers?

two choices

a. turn down the bass

b. amplify said speakers

Well when the bass is 0 and the sub is 0, i can here the speakers and some bas, but its not as loud as it should be.

What speakers should i get that are good 5x7 or 6x8s?

he can't lower the gain. their running off the deck.

Well...if your head unit doesn't have enough control to allow you to turn the bass down enough (or to almost nothing) then I'd say a new one is in order. What type of "deck" is it anyway?

its in my sig, a Eclipse CD3000.

are these replacing your factory speakers? are they the same impedance? are you running them full range?

i would get an adaptor plate for those 5x7s, and run either 5.25s or 6.5s to open yourself to a whole array of speakers

umm you know they make BASS BLOCKERS right? Lol, Wouldnt that be the easiest 5.00 solution? haha

^^^ i think he needs his subs to be not as loud...wouldnt bass blockers just work on his speakers but not make the volume any louder?

buy a nice pair of comps...amp them...enjoy

It would take bass out of speakers, ANd clear them up...So in the end he could turn it up louder

do what some1 here said, put some comps on there.
