It's a potentometer; i.e. exactly the same thing as the amp's gain control (only functions slightly differently in this application).

my amp (bx1500)

the manual says "bass remote module which controls the bass signal."

does that mean i could that to turn the bass down when i want to? or does that mean its the same crap like the gains on the amp?

so what do u do if u want to turn the bass down on the sub alone? without going to the amp.
i could turn the bass down on the HU, but would that turn the bass down on the interiors also?

see... im using my stock HU.. so my controls are limited.

Im also using a audiocontrol EQX unit.

If you want to turn it completly off you could just buy a switch from Autozone or some place like that and connect it up to the remote wire.

not Completely off. Like if i was listening to a song and i wanted 2 turn the bass down or up
