Bargain fluke meters

although, a review that compares a "knock off" to a legit meter should at least include opening them up to look at the boards. anyone can buy plastics.
post up a comment AvE is a pretty cool dude he'll probably pop one open if he has the money or someone donates one

Why do you need an outrageously priced multimeter?
I just use them to check voltage and resistance... nothing fancy........
accuracy, you'd be amazed how inaccurate your readings can be, especially when you're attempting to diagnose weird problems. i got readings of 33 ac amps on my cheap clamp when the actual reading was nowhere near that

Fluke 88V can't decode buttons to know which is "take my **** money"
lost me with the way you worded that lol

I had a harbor freight free meter once, checking ohms on a coil it gave me a 6.4ohm coil. My fluke indocated it was a 4.0 ohm (which is what it was supposed to be) if you're serious about the hobby i suggest you invest in a good one.

I don't use dmm's for amp readings.

99% of the time, I just use them to see what voltage a battery is resting at.

.9% of the time, I use them to check resistance of stuff

.1% of the time I use them to check AC voltage

I don't have one that cheap. I forget what brand it is.

I don't check coil resistance a lot though. We've got a super-expensive Fluke meter at work. I guess I'll just use that if I ever need to be certain of accuracy.
