What do you guys think about putting these baffles and these bass blockers in? Do the baffles actually make for better sound quality? Or should i just cut them in half and use them for water protection? What about the bass blockers, do they help? I want to eventually get an amp to my speakers but thats not for a little while still...

Head unit - Alpine CDA-9847

Front - Alpine SPR-17C

Rear - Alpine sps-500

Well before i spend money on a new head unit i would spend money on an amp for my speakers. Im just looking into something temporary for the moment and wanted to know if they are worth doing
by spending money on a worthwhile headunit, you could spend less money on your components and/or 'bass blockers' & such.

the baffles change the sound a bit as its sort of like an "enclosure" for the mids

the bass blockers will work as stated...i assume this is for some type of PA speakers/tweets (eminence, selenium etc...) PM me if you have any questions about them.. lol

most amp nowadays have Highpass filter so udont need bass blockers
Yes but my point was that i dont have an amp right now and want to hold off on getting one until i feel like going through that big install. Since they are only $7 on Crutchfield i was going to go for that but only if everyone thought they were worth it. My bass in the car is always as far down as it will go but i still get some coming through my speakers. Its not a lot but do you think i will notice a difference if i put them in?
