baffle thickness?

The thicker the better. 6-9 inches thick may be good.

Not only does this add strength, but prevents pressure from building up on the back of the cones. You should see an increase in SPL going from 1.5" to 6" or more.

And here it is. The top is my view of what you have now. The bottom is an idea of what you could do. More cone area is not always a good thing. The current shape of your port is hurting you. With the bottom illustration you will get more port area plus the air velocity will be more uniform over the entire surface area of the port. This will result in higher SPL.

Just an idea though. If you saw Bob Perillo's van you will get the idea. I believe his current baffle is 9" thick.

yeah i kindda figured the port shape was bad but unless i want to run one amp at 2 ohm i don't have much choice:(,,at audio thunder my car was out in the parking lot:(

It is my daily driver:) but i also do comps with it,Im hopeing to do a 155 with what ive got.ive done a 151.9 and ive done a little more work on it since then. i have to check and see how much port area i'll lose if i make it more rectangular.
