Ok, Let me explain this as best as I can. I have 2 4 channels, both mounted to my amp rack, I have them on 2 distro blocks for power and ground(1/0in and 2 4ga out) I have engine whine pretty bad, and have tried almost every trick in the book. First off, I am not running a headunit right now, just iPod into the EQ. The amps are grounded roughly 3ft directly to my 2nd battery. The EQ is grounded the to chassis If I unplug the RCA's out of the amps, the engine noise stops I have tried a new set of RCA's, notta Power and RCA's are ran on the opposite sides of the truck I purchased a Stinger ground loop isolator from Darvex, still there and noticeable. Now, in all reality, Im sure the engine noise isnt that bad, but when you have 8 pro audio style 6.5s, everything's loud. I can drown it out by cranking it up really high, but In my mind its still there. I also have a train horn installed, and when the compressor kicks on, I can hear that through my speakers also(compressor is grounded to the frame of the truck.) Any other ideas?
