ok heres the deal , a buddy of mine "said" he will be able to get me a bnib mtx 9500 from american electronics for 150 bucks or some shit, he said his buddy owns or manages something a American electronics store and can get it for what they get it for, im surely going to get one at least "if" its 150 bucks, to use instead of a SX i will try to get 2 if i can to sell the second one, im just excited if this deal is going to be true, im just awaiting the news on it tommorow,

will it be louder than a SX powered by a directed 1100D in ported box?

The 9500's wang... The 9500 will sound better doing it than the SX. I also think the 9500's sound rather well in the right box

I have a 9500 to a 1501d in a snailshell. Honestly, the MTX 9500 barely lives until it hits the lips of the Snailshell. I heard a 15" 9500 in a ported box and my 12" in the snailshell completely obliterated it in SQ and SPL. If you want something that will make that sucker tear your car apart, you should honestly checkout http://www.powered4sound.com . Only problem is once you have one SS, you'll want another... that's why i'm upgrading

the magnet and basket on the thing costs over twice that to make, who's gonna gonna put themselves out of buissness? not any buisness i know of

they might as well just give money away

I am sure it doesnt cost over $300 to make a single 9500.

for at cost, circuit city gets them for 210.00 a piece....My 9500+Snailshell was 800.00, and every penny was worth it
