AVN5500 vs. AVN6600

I just recieved my metra dash kit for my 2005+ Jetta so I'm ready to get a double DIN screen, I think I have narrowed it down between these 2 screens (but I am always open to other opinions with good reasoning). Is it worth the extra money for the 6600? I have an IPOD but I dont think I will ever hook it up to the screen, I'm not sure if that is the main benefit of the 6600. So please give me your opinions on which is better, I have done alot of searching and questioning about these for the past few weeks so I'm sorry if anyone is tired of seeing my threads.

the 6600 is a *** machine. get it.

care to tell me why it's better than the 5500? some justification would help me throw down $1600.

that alone should make you want to buy it...

but in all seriousness, the 6600 is just a more powerful unit with even better navigation. It's got the musicjuke feature, which is pretty big pimpin. it'll do everything but drive the car. but you may also want to look into the Pioneer AVIC Z1

I have the 6600 and this man speaks the truth about the sexiness. I believe th IPOD interface is improved ont he 6600 over the 5500, also, you would be surprised how often the dual DVD slots come in handy.

the Z1 is in a whole other league or price range i thought? what about the eclipse with the HD included?

forget the 5495, if you are wanting to go that route, get the Pioneer Z1.

dual DVD is sweet, cuz the DVD slot is occupied by the NAV disc
