Pete sold his Orion's. They're pretty strong amps...but the Colossus is a beast. With the right supply...the amp can crank out almost 5,000 watts. It's the strongest street amp right now....followed by the Rockford T3000 and the Treo 1500.1.

How the ear listen: is pure theories right now. Some say it's the hair...some say it's the bone. Who knows???

Yep, the Avalanches did better than the W7's in every category. For $300...it's a steal. It does superb in home audio as well.

Hallucination: We found the frequency to be lower...around 12-15 hz...in the inaudible range. Another research group in Europe explains one of their theories: old cargo boats or ships: the creeking and scary noise that we may hear sometimes are the higher pitched frequencies. Along with those vibrations are the lower frequencies that are inaudible to the ears. These are the same frequencies that are along the lines of the human body resonant frequency. Each part of the body has a different resonant frequency. The inaudible tones are the ones that a person can feel....kinda like the ghost feeling. Along with this feeling is the resonant frequency of the eyes and brain. They've been able to achieve 70% of the control variables to conceive hallucination.

what does it take to be a "street amp" .... cuz i can list a few amps that'll do more than 1500 watts and a couple that'll do more than 3000.. just in my limited knowledge..

Street amps give a lot of power with a 12 volt system. Some amps like the Soundstream 6500 or the Audiobahn SPL5000 are not meant for a 12 volt system. They'll completely fry with a minor voltage drop below 12...but make massive power at 16 volts.

IA 20.1 is considered a street amp.... completely stable @ .4 nominal, and does the same power @ 11v, as it does @ 13.5v
