Audioque hdc3 are they really that good

Im in the market to replace my 15" Sx..ive been asking around the forum and i keep hearing about the hdc3..are they really that good..will i hear a significant difference in spl then with my Sx? Hows the sq? i dont want it to be any worse than my sx is..also the hdc3 would be getting about 500 more watTs (1700) since ill get the dual 2 ohm instead of dual 4 like i have now..can t ahndle that type of power daily.. Also what size box and tuning is optimal for the 15" let me know what you guys think..i dont want to go through the trouble of sellin my sx and buyin this one if its not worth it..the sub does look beastly tho and you cant beat that price. Thanks

I'm still on the Aura NS boner...haven't heard anything yet to knock that off its pedestal...Rainbow Vanadiums/Profis, JL W6v2's, Arc Flatlines, IDMAX's, Adire Shivas/Tempests, Focal Utopias, the previous generation of SI Magnums...etc etc.

you guys really need to take JimJ's opinion with a grain of salt.

JimJ is never going to be impressed with an spl based sub. they are designed to be more peaky, etc. JimJ is all about the SQ. i would take his word though, when looking to buy SQ subs.

agreed w/jimj & george. i liked teh HD3 because they'd eat power & sound amazing (for an SPL oriented sub) doing it.. teh HDC3 is much different.

I like the HD3 more than the SX. haven't heard the C version though.
