I have an Audioque HDC 3 15'' woofer. I have a Sundown Sae 1200D amplifier putting power to it. I bought this woofer used and blew it in about 3 days, and then I re coned it and am now bumpin again. I will still sometimes smell something resembling coils burning? I emailed AQ and they said it was clipping...and then I emailed Jacob Fuller from sundown and he said it wasn't clipping because my gains are set to under half and there is no woofer distortion. I still smell it every so often, and sometimes it is stronger then others. Jacob said he thinks the coils are just getting extra warm because the woofer draws a lot of power and im in Georgia so the outside temperature effects it. After playing the dustcap is pretty warm as well. My electrical isn't very good. I'm running a stock battery, and haven't switched over to the big 3 yet. My lights dim when I Bump at a volume of even 25 and my head unit peaks at 35. Would upgrading to the big 3 completely eliminate this issue im having? I'm not sure what to think of it all. Help please!
