ok so i got one of my hd312's today and installed it. it is going in a cavalier withe the box facing the cabin where the seat folds down. i built two seperate boxes and bolted them together. they are each 2.2 cu ft @ 38hz with a slot port below the driver. i put the driver side sub in as i am getting the other one next week. wired to 2ohms it is seing around 3kw from the goliath. i love it, but it doesnt seem to be any louder than the 15" mag i had firing towards the back with only 1200watts rms. do you think that i am experiencing alot of cancelation because of the open chamber of the other box, and due to the fact that nothing is sealed off from the trunk yet? also it seems that the sub is clipping at levels that it shouldnt be, how can i tell if it is the amplifier clipping or the sub bottoming out? (i set the gains by ear) thanks for any help

well the problem is since im so space limited in the cavalier there is nowhere else i can put the goliath.. other than on the back of the box, and the 1/0 runs to the amp arent long enough to put it on the back with the sub firing backwards... the answer im looking for i guess is if it will really make much of a difference once i have the trunk sealed off from the cabin?
