Audiopipe AQX vs AP

I can't decide on either an audiopipe AQX1600.1 or AP1800D. Both will provide plenty of power for my 2 15" Maw-15s so my main question is which will be more reliable at 1ohms and if anyone has had their hands on both aqx and ap and what the noticeable differences are... from pics it seems the aqx now have built in fuses and the terminal connections have changed...

seems like no one really has these aqx amps yet.. I went with the ap1800d because its a class D amp vs the aqx is AB and although it wasn't clear from what I read seemed D is more popular for sub woofer and potentially better..

Yea the AQX series are A/B, guess those are cheaper to make thats why theyre cheap as hell. Might as well go with the d class

thats not true the aqx3500.1 is a class d and is the same exact amp as the rd3250.1, one total amp unlike the ap3000d which is 2 strapped. the aqx is more on par with mb quart a/b amps, class d is not always better its just more efficient, my vlx400 is an a/b amp its a beast and amazing. just class d amps are usually smaller and more efficient usually have dirtier sound but with subs it dosent matter.

Well I'm happy I went with efficient as I have only a stock 130amp alt and plan on an engine upgrade in the near future so don't wanna upgrade alts... Do you think my setup in sig with big 3 in 0 gauge will be ok with the 130amp and just a huge normal truck battery under the hood.. should I run a battery in the trunk.. whats recommended for the trunk?

ebay vminnovations $190 to my door.. lil worried about running 1 ohms but considering 900watts is way to much for a maw-15 I plan to run very little gain and bass...

No, the AQX is the same amp as the 3250 V.2, The v.1 is the same as the DC's and is a Zenon board.

Class D amps are better for high power because they are more efficient, your electrical will have a better time powering an 1800 class d compared to an 1800 class a/b, id get the ap1800.

i know its the v.2 v.1 was zenon board like many other companies but its still 3250.1 v2. more efficient yes, but can have dirtier sound. other advantage of d is size as my vlx is about 4 feet long lol

that 1800 ap is not worth the extra money it sounds just like my ap 1500 ,looks like the 1500 and 3000 are the only ones that do rated buy the way selling my 1800 150.00 shipped if anyone is interested just got the mb quart 1500 so dont need the ap anymore
