Audiopipe - APSM 1300 Vs AP 1500 - Distortion, S/N ratio, Questions

Hey guys looking into buying one of these two amps. I'm powering 2 image dynamics ID10v3's, rated around 50-400W RMS, unknown what they "max" at.

I am not really looking to blow much more than 200 on an amp so these two options seemed realistic to me.

Here is kind of what I have found over the last few days reading posts and I'm curious if someone can review my logic before I drop my cash on one of them:

People who owned them loved them, usually people who don't own them are the ones complaining.

Distortion ("dirty power") appears to be the #1 complaint on the audiopipes and the APSM in particular has the distortion mentioned on the audiopipe page as

The APSM is 1kW stable @ 1ohm, which is 20% headroom on my 800w pair of 10's.

The AP is 1.5kW stable @ 1 ohm which is also plenty of headroom.

discrepancy

So the questions

Is there any reason to go with the AP1500 vs the APSM 1300 ?

Is the 70dB S/N ratio worth worrying about?

Good point, I wrote this last night before I bought them and saved to clipboard, so at that point I was still deciding if I would go 4DVC or 2DVC, but i ended up buying the 4's =P
