Audiopipe is good stuff, they're inexpensive so if you break em it won't hurt the pocket very much to buy new ones.

Im doing a build for a guy and we ordered all the equipment. originally we grabbed a DSC 1500, maxxonics made. Thing is garbage, was not impressed at all. Obv my treo is gonna knock the pants off of it but even against the ap1500 I think the clear winner is not maxx

Ironically, there have been multiple tests showing that AP actually does rated...you will not see these same tests stating that Hifonics does rated. And, Ap is actually cheaper. the 1500 is about 160, while a comparable BXi 1600 is about 200-230, and much higher for the new BRz line

like I already said tho for the $$ if the AP breaks you can replace it cheap and they make rated power but do not meter well that is a fact that is pasted all over the place...

I am not peddling anything nor will I..

if you want AP or MAXX from me you pay retail at the shop..

the dsc amps are underrated and hit harder and handle voltage better than the ap ,but if cash is a factor the ap 1500 is a good buy but i would stay away from the ap1800 the extra cash you pay is not worth it,they sound identical to the 1500

how is it trash? i had zero problems with the amp since i had it and beat it down. you guys have had it for like 8 days and something is wrong? your treo may be better build quality but the AP is not. also try setting the filters differently on the amp. that amp does 100% rated power period

I know a bunch of people who have ran AP 1500s, 1800s and 3ks. Amps are great. Do tons of power and never give any problems. From my experience its one of the most reliable amps out there.

Less bells and whistles = less stuff to break.

im not saying that you are wrong, because i dont know, but how is that possible?

and comparing Treo amps to either Ap, MBQ or Hifonics is just not a fair comparison...

Next weekend I will be going to Kent Ohio where we will be testing AP 3000d and American bass 5000 going to spend a whole day testing and tuning a project van but those amps will be tested also. The heat on the APs is an issue that I have mentioned it on here before. Let’s say you are bass racing with an AP and you do two runs in a row. Well I burnt one to the ground and still have the other one running strong. I wired them down to .5 ohm and tried em out db drag and they took it just fine. All the test I have seen put them real close to rated at 14.4

you must have alot of rise the ap 30001 will go rite into protection at .5ohm...
