Been lurking for awhile, and now have a question....

I'm installing a JL HD 750/1 amp to run a JL 12w6v3 using an LC6i and I'm just noticing that the specs for the LC6 say, "the LC6i can handle up to 400 watts rms". What exactly does this mean? I will clearly using more than 400 rms given that the amp is an HD750/1. Can anyone help with this question?

Hope this is posted in the right section.

That specification has nothing to do with how many watts your amplifier will be producing. Your sub amp will be connected to the output of the LC6i. The 400W spec is for the input of the LC6i. You have nothing to worry about.
