AudioControl Epicenter Question

Couple days ago I installed my sub and the sound is like almost there but not quite satisfying, if that makes sense. I want it to hit a little harder, get a little louder without having to go ported or do something drastic.

Ive got an Eclipse AVN 5435, JBL BPX1100.1 running a custom sub made by TEAMPSI consisting of TC9 motor, RE MT softparts.

would buying something like an epicenter or another bass processor make that much of a difference. what would you recommend?

Adding an epicenter will add more bass to the content your playing, but if it doesn't get loud enough now I don't see an epicenter as the answer to make it louder for you :/

But incase you want to try it I have one for sale...haha

Exactly what he said. An epiccenter is not going to increase your loudness at your peak note, however if a song is lacking in the bass department (classic rock for instance) then the epiccenter will make a huge difference in those songs.

It looks at the freq's between 50-100 Hz (iirc) and makes a tone 1/2 the freq (so 25-50 Hz) whether it belongs there or not. For instance it would look at a 60 Hz tone and create a 30 Hz one and mix it back in. It will NOT increase the max volume of your bass. "Hitting harder" would sound like a dynamics issue, more reserve power is a key there. You might also want to find a set of mids with good midbass or use dedicated set of midbass drivers since that is the part of the music that imparts a sense of impact.
