question for capacitor haters.... did you install it right?? #1 did you charge the capacitor first, or you just connect them right away? #2 is it grounded right??
Why spend $100 on a cap when I can get my alt rewound for cheaper, and do more than a cap can for my electrical system?

all im saying is a cap is not the solution for a straining charging system.....and for this situation the caps may be needed......but he's also going to need at least 2 HO alts if not more

Can we get a "Capacitor Forum" please? I'd rather see a whole forum dedicated to this argument than have old posts dug up like this. It's getting rediculous. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

what is the point of a Cap? isnt a cap to help store power closer to the amps, so that when the bass Hits, the amp draws the power from the Cap to help keep the power from your batter to dropp even lower from keeping your hedlighs from dimmin?

i know when i 1st bought my Cap, i bought it to help keep my hl from dimmin, but i didnt notice any differnce.. then i bought a optima yellow top battery and had my cap on it.. it helped out alot.. i dont know if it was the cap, cause the cap didnt help out by itself, or if it was just the larger battery..

my system now., i ve upgraded my alt, from a 70 to 175.. pretty big differce.. but yet my lights are still diming...i know i really need another 175 alt. , and i may go ge my stock rewound to a 200.. and run dual alts.. 375 amps, should be plenty...i dont have a cap on it now, but i may try and get a cap just to test a cap out once again...

They are USELESS!!!! The best electrical upgrade you can do is buy a heavy duty output alternator. A capacitor will only add another load to your straining electrical system. If your lights are dimming with the bass then a cap is not the answer and anyone else on this site will tell you the same as I am going to do. If your headlights dim, buy a bigger/Higher output alternator.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

So you are saying that buying a cap is better than getting a H.O. alternator? Please, humor me on your reasons why this would be true.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
