will 1 magnum d2 with 1200 watts in a 2.2 cube sealed box with 600 watts rms going to it at 2 ohms (jbl bp 600.1) sound better and louder (not blocks away crap, but local friendly competition) than a set of audiobahn aw1206t's with 1500 watts rms going to them at 1 ohm in seperated chambers of a 4.4 cube enclosure?

or will i need 2 of the magnums with the 1200 watt jbl amp???

Ok, you mentioned using sealed boxes, are you competing for sound quality or spl? You also want to know which will sound "better" and louder. The thing is one setup may get louder while the other may sound "better", it really depends. I'm not too sure if by a set you are referring to 2 audiobahns or 4. Assuming the subs you are comparing are the same size(you didn't mention), the second setup you mentioned would have more cone area, more than double the rms, and double the amount of air space in the enclosure.....which do you think will get louder? 2 magnums with 1200w compared to 2 audiobahns with 1500w is a closer comparison for loudness, but I think the magnums could possibly get louder. If you are trying to acheive sound quality, audiobahns typically sound like crap.

the audiobahns of course are going to be louder... i mean 2 subs vs 1 and the difference in wattage. ur gona need 2 D2's and wire that sucker up to 2 or 1 ohm then ull be takin em.
