This mess started when I purchased a Viper alarm with remote smart start and gps features (5901 & DSM250), I had it installed at Audio Outlaws Texas located in Kyle just outside of Austin, and that is when the trouble started. Withing a couple days of the install the car would not start. I went back to the shop and waited 6-7 hours for a fix that took them 2 minutes when they finally got around to it. After a few weeks the car stopped starting again....called and got the run-around for almost two weeks and car is still not starting. The "manager", Ruben, tried telling me all sorts of stories about not having an installer available and this was after calling a few times a day to no answer, they were now screening calls. Finally a co-worker and another friend offered to call and ask about an alarm install, sure enough ole Ruben not only answered the phone but he was ready to install an alarm system the next day (grrrrrrr)!! In fact Ruben even offered to send an installer out to one of my friends houses...so much for his BS story about not having an installer! SO not only have they taken my money and done an iffy install, they have lied and avoided holding up their end of the deal. My purpose in writing this is to prevent it from happening to someone else and to maybe help Audio Outlaws Texas to get their **** together. I finally called Audio Outlaws today on a friends phone (seconds after calling on my phone) and Ruben answered (imagine that), he started out with the same line of BS untill I told him he had been exposed....he then went from running his mouth to getting quiet . I was told he would have an instaler take care of the issue tomorrow. I will also be sending an email to Directed Electronics, Vipers parent company, and I am also looking for the shop owners contact info. A simple google search also revealed several other similar stories about Audio Outlaws Texas, seems they need to make some improvements....but I have a feeling they won't be around in a few months anyways. [QUOTE="chevyrider96, post: 7720567, member: 618319"] Let me say that I have given this shop every opportunity to rectify this situation but they have been reluctant to help and have gone so far as to even stop answering phone calls.
