Sold a car for $600...it was a very good deal, just wanted it out of the driveway...kid's father shows up to get it. He tells me all he brought with him is $550, would I take it...the phone rings and a woman who called earlier says she wants the car for $600 and will be over in a few minutes...I tell the guy, sorry but I just sold it to someone who wasn't trying to be a chiseler...tell your son you cheated us...he miraculously found the money in his wallet. If it wasn't being sold to his son I'd have told him to get the **** off my property and sold it to the woman for $500 just to spite him.

I had a desktop PC I was selling and something similar happened. I built it for AutoCAD. Had a nice GPU, Intel Xeon proc, and a bunch of other ****. Had it up for a couple hundred. Dude showed up with a $50 and asks to buy it, plus a monitor and keyboard. He drove 45 minutes to try to low ball me. I told him to have a nice drive home.

When I sell stuff, its always in mint-excellent condition. If it isnt, I explain why and provide pics. Thats the standard for me.

I usually price my stuff below market value just to sell quickly, but when someone offers me 50% of my asking price, I go insane.
