This sentence just struck me funny wondering why you're fixing something that's not broke but I'll assume that the compressor went bad and that's why it got replaced. n2audio? If you know where to buy R12 for $40 I know some mechanics that would love to speak with you unless you're talking about 8oz. cans of it. Last I knew it was going for between $60 and $80/pound. Decipha? Where'd you get the compressor? If it was an AutoZone or Pep Boys purchase it is possible that it was bad before you bought it. They don't sell "new" compressors anymore - every unit they have is remanufactured - even the lifetime warranty ones. Barring that and assuming that you have recharged the system I'd look at the low pressure switch first. If it's bad it won't allow the compressor clutch to engage whether it's good and fully charged or not.
