Had a problem with a kicker amp I purchased from them a week ago. All wiring is correct, fuses good, amp doesn't power up at all. Put another amp in it's place, same wiring and everything is fine. the other amp works flawlessly. So that leads me to believe the kicker is faulty. So I go back to cc to discuss the problem. I started talking to a salesman about it. First thing he says is " You must of wired it wrong and fried it, that's why people should leave the installation to the professionals" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif . That comment almost sent me over the edge. But I calmly told him I have my MECP certification. And this wasn't the first amplifier I have ever installed. Then he asks about the speakers it's pushing. So I told him it's pushing a custom 4ohm component set that I put together. His reply to this was " Well that was the problem two 4ohm loads wired together are gonna be a two ohm load, and this amp is only rated for a minimum 4ohm load mono. So you probably burnt it up by over loading it like that " //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif WTF //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif Besides the fact I could get an 8ohm load. Who in all holy hell wires components mono ?? Mono for each side maybe. I'm getting livid by this point. I simply wanted to get the amp either fixed or exchanged. It was a freaking week old, I still had receipt and everything. I felt myself getting ready to go off on the salesman when another guy walked up and asked if he could help. I turned and asked " This amplifier is broken, can I exchange it ? " He asked If I had a receipt. Showed it too him, and off we went. I told the guy ( later found out he was a manager) that he needs to speak with that salesman. I didn't appreciate the accusations he was making, along with his condescending tone. He said he was new and still training. The manager was pretty cool though, they didn't have any of the kx250.2's left. He gave me a kx350.2 instead //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif So it ended on a good note anyway. Sorry for the rant //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
