ascendant atlas 15" box size

Would a ported 2.25" box work well with the atlas? or if not, what size for a ported box? thanks!

Noo! Bad newbie! No prefab boxes!

Why is that? and if i am going to build one of that size(or best for the atlas), does anyone have any ported 15" plans that would work out well for me? let me know cuz if im going to get building i'd like to start ASAP, my amp comes tomorrow!

why not call and ask the guy you bought them from?

Why is that?

Because it's a sealed box with a big hole drilled in the top of it. I have one for a 12" and I now use it as a nightstand next to my bed. Definately see about getting some good box plans from either Ascendant Audio or someone on the board (they charge about $10 for detailed plans and instructions).

Would a 1.5 cf be good for an atlas 12?

thats fine for an atlas 12" but an atlas 15" needs at least like 3.5 cubes sealed, and some use

4.5-5 cubes sealed. At least 4.5 cubes NET ported.

I think chad still has his "spare" atlas 15" ported enclosure made out of ultra-lite MDF

thing is SOOOOO light. Anyway he was literally trying to give it to me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif its his

demo box, nice and coated with rubberised undercoat (seriously looks good) but then has this 3/4" plain MDF squar baffle the sub mounts on. Might ask him if you can buy it from him and pay shipping. Probably like $50.00 shipping but that was LOUD in his car with the atlas in it. I think its tuned to 25hz but still has TONS of top end.
