just lookin to update the factory crap in my 95 saab 900, i plan on gettin sum rockford 4" for the front and maybe puttin sum speakers in the kick panel but i hope to get a subwoofer sometime in the future.

there 4x10, i havent heard any aftermarket 4x10s but im assuming no they wouldnt b sufficent (jus cuz of the oval design)

get some 6.5's if u want bass from a speaker

go to a sore or shope and listen to the 4x10's and 6.5 and pick out a set. you can probly get some adapters to fit the 6.5 or you could make some outta mdf. i'd go with the 6.5's

the only reason i ask about 4x10's is because thats what fits in the rear, the set up in my car is this: 2 4" in the front dash (left&right corners) and 2 4x10's in the rear area. and for some reason there are portions in the driver and passenger front doors that look like it has a speaker it it but i think that my car is such a lo end model that they are just there for decoration becasue i cant hear shit from them.

look behind the door pannel and may be there may be some speakers, but they may not be connected? or you can see what you have to work with. as for the boxes, i would just try not to go there, but thats just imo.
