Are these numbers for real?

718 watts RMS x 1 channel at 4 ohms,

674 watts RMS x 1 channel at 1 ohm,

MOST amps that I have seen that have the ability to go down to one ohm make more power at lower resistance loads. According to this, the jbl bpx500.1 makes more power at the higher resistance loads. The only reason I am asking is because of this. I want to buy an amp for my FI ssd 10 that I have coming in the mail. Its down to either the GTO601.1 or the BPX500.1. I have a power series for the germs, and wanted to run the power series for the sub stage as well. How much power do you suppose that amp will make at 2 ohms? I havent seen any ratings as far as that goes. And, do you supposed it can run at 2 ohms? If it can run at 1 I am assuming you can run it at 2 ohms. Anybody with any input, or experience with this amp, please speak now! thanks in advance to all who help.

Kenny

its a jbl thing one of the few that doe that actually i think

by saying "does that actually" what are you referring to? the fact that it can make the power at all ohm loads? Kind of like the JL audio amps advertise?

Ya what else would he be talking about? Anyways.. dontcha think you may want some more power than that? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Unlike conventional mono subwoofer amplifiers that only deliver their maximum power into a single impedance, the BPX500.1 is a two-channel amplifier that can be bridged to deliver double the voltage of a single channel into impedances between 2 and 4 ohms. The two channels can also be connected in parallel - that''s right, parallel - to provide double the current of single channel into impedance below 2 ohms. This feature is patented and unprecidented in car audio amplification. Thanks Crown!
yeah

Running the amp at higher impedance is better, anyways ...

That is what I figured. And no I dont really want to run more power, I will be giving it almost what is RMS so I dont really see where that would be a problem. I had the gto1201.1 that was going to be used, but I wanted to go a route that would be a little less demanding of my electrical system.

and wow, that there is pulled directly from their website lol, dont mind my nOObish move there. Thanks to all lol

seems to be...
thanks for the link and sorry for the waste of time. I know what I need to know now, I had never seen that website before. Again, thanks to those that helped, and sorry to those that I wasted 2 seconds of their time, good day.
