Are there any popular Crown Vic engine swaps?

I was looking at getting an old Crown Vic, but the 4.6L V8 doesn't put out much power for a car that big. Are there any other available engines to drop in??? Maybe Ford's 5.4L?

Marauder uses same 4.6, Mustang uses a different 4.6 that puts out 300hp instead of 2XXhp, but I'm not sure if it's a drop-in or would require more mods

Uhh the Marauder had the 4.6 DOHC 4v. Same engine in the Mach 1 and Lincoln Aviator; rated about 305hp. However, you can easily built up a stout 4.6 2v and supercharge it...there are stroker kits too...

I would love to drop the DOHC 4.6 out of the Marauder in my Crown Vic and from what I understand, its almost a direct swap. I thought there was a LS4 kit or something along those lines, that came with everything to direct swap.

I may be wrong though. I mainly deal with 5.0's

you should have plenty of power with the 4.6

even though i dont care for them
