You know what really gets under my skin is when someone will send you a lowball offer but when you accept then they either don't have the money, want you to hold it for them, or just don't respond back. It's like some of these guys could care less about buying. They just wanna make bs offers & raise their post count.

for the most part people are quite proud of their used audio equipment and expect near BNIB prices when selling it. Others are more reasonable and will offer a savings based upon it being used and the fact you're taking a risk dealing with them.

I used to buy/sell a LOT of car parts: big block chevy motors, holley carbs, MSD ignitions, etc... and 50cents on the dollar is the norm and shopping around you can find stuff for 10cents on the dollar. I remember buying an OMC 502 complete motor for $500 when the bow tie block was going for $1500 alone. I kept the block and parted out the rest of it for about $2k.

I've found some good deals on car audio, but they're never like that. I also laugh at guys selling used shit for $20 less then BNIB. You think I'm going to risk getting scammed to save $30 and also not get a warranty. Once you buy it whether it's been opened or not it's "used" IMO since I can't just call and order it with my credit card, so reduce the price accordingly...

Perfectly understandable!!! I am not talking about low balling, I mean talking about unrealistic. Lowballing is asking for a true 3k amp on a budget of 500-600 bucks. Down right unrealistic is asking for a true 3k amp for 350 bucks. That's what I am saying!!!

I've always wondered what the success rate is on people that do ridiculous low ball offers. I would be impressed if two people said that a crazy low ball offer has worked for them.

See, that is all I was trying to get going, intelligent responses. The last several responses have all been rational good responses. Just wanted to know if I was crazy or not. But I am not the only one that feels this way. And yes if you want to sell you item at a lowball price, it is your perogative. But as you say, most people who give those lowball offers dont come through. I have several at the moment.

Some people are so unrealistic with what they want. I mean OMG, and I dont use those acronyms. I mean man.....have you seen the WTB section lately. Guys are posting stuff like (ex.)..." I think this will eliminate all these low-ball offer problems: Instead of a For Sale thread, call it an Auction thread. State your starting bid, a firm auction end date/ time, details & terms, & let people bid by posting. Since you have no way to hide a reserve price, your starting bid would have to be it. Just ignore anybody who posts a bid lower than you're starting bid. If you get no bids, obviously your starting bid/ reserve is too high! (As your patience wears thin you can start posting stuff like "Come on fvckers bid on my overpriced junk; Stop being b!tches"!!!) ... Can't do that on eBay!!!

Since ca.com puts posts in order, that would settle tie bids, first-post-wins, even when the post time is the same for two or more bidders.

Aside from questions about the item, this should end most or maybe all the bothersome low-balling and sellers' need to post angry "You are insulting me you b@stard; And your mom is a hoe" responses.

It's to much work to write properly. However, I stated my accomplishments because people say thing such as this. Then I ask what have you done with your life? Then those that haven’t done chit get offended. Just like you got offended, calling me a retard. who are you to judge what someone elses amp is worth. you market your amp as a 3K+ when the ab is only rated at 2500 too, and the smae board doesnt mean shit, different parts are what seperate those amps, i think you need to stop acting like your amp is top of thel ine and sell it for what its worth.
