ARC AUDIO KS 1000.1BX vs KS 1200.1 w EPICENTER

Hey guys,

For a while now I was using my Arc Audio KS 1200.1 with my Epicenter and the results are fantastic. Recently though there was an issue with either the amp. I called Brad at Arc Audio (nice guy) and he told me to send in the amp and they would replace it with a new one at no charge. In the meanwhile, I hooked up a KS1000.1BX (built in Epicenter) and noticed that when I use the built in Epicenter on the amp it works much better and the added bass effect was much more natural. The bass blends in with the songs much better. The Epicenter has more of a low end effect whereas the built in Epicenter on the KS 1000.1BX hits a wider range of frequencies for bass and isn't as extreme. Does any users of Arc Audio notice this? Any opinions?
