Arc audio 12" subs options

Well since nobody knew the difference between their v2 and v3 versions, how about options on their subs in general.

I know arc is a good name and all but their subs have been out for awhile and wanted to know if they are outdated or can they still compete with newer companies and their subwoofers?

I am looking for more sq but being able to have some output is a plus.

Basically I am looking at a pair and just trying to get some opinions. Running them sealed at first and then probably build a ported box. Also definitely not paying what they are listed on woofers ect. For.
